Another week, another firehose of news in the U.S.A.

From President Trump’s fallout with Elon Musk, Los Angeles lighting itself on fire again, to more leftists meltdowns across the country, here are just a few things that happened this week.

Trump and Elon Are Done

President Donald Trump voiced disappointment over his strained bond with Elon Musk, hinting their once-close alliance may not recover. Musk’s frustration with Trump’s withdrawal of Jared Isaacman’s NASA nomination and the removal of the EV mandate sparked a sharp public rebuke.

Trump defended his decision to end the costly EV mandate, emphasizing the massive $1.6 trillion cuts in the Great Big Beautiful Bill. Musk’s claim on X that he secured Trump’s election victory was met with surprise, as Trump recalled their warm White House farewell.

Musk has since deleted some of his inflammatory tweets and suggested reconciliation. However, he also suggested funding Democrats in the 2026 midterm elections. Trump has said he is not interested in talking with Musk but wishes him well.

Chinese “Students” Caught for Agroterrorism in the U.S.

Yunqing Jian and Zunyong Liu, Chinese nationals, face charges for smuggling Fusarium graminearum, a fungus labeled a potential agroterrorism weapon, into the U.S. via Detroit airport. The fungus, which causes crop-damaging head blight and health issues in humans and livestock, was allegedly intended for research at a University of Michigan lab.

U.S. Attorney Jerome Gorgon highlighted the grave national security concerns, noting Jian’s ties to the Chinese Communist Party and Chinese government funding for her pathogen research. The FBI alleges the couple exploited university lab access, with Liu admitting to hiding the fungus to conduct unauthorized research.

Republicans Further Combat Illegal Immigration After Colorado Terrorist Attack

Republican Reps. Randy Fine (Florida) and August Pfluger (Texas) are leading a resolution to deport individuals who overstay their visas, prompted by an attack by Mohamed Sabry Soliman, who allegedly set pro-Israel activists on fire in Boulder last Sunday. The resolution condemns the attack and rising antisemitic violence, urging Congress to secure borders and enforce deportations.

Soliman, illegally in the U.S., allegedly used Molotov cocktails and a flamethrower while shouting “Free Palestine,” targeting 12 people, including a Holocaust survivor. Fine, a Jewish father, and Pfluger, citing a pattern of antisemitic attacks, emphasize the need for immediate action to address visa overstays and protect public safety.

SCOTUS Ruling a Win for Real Equality

The Supreme Court’s unanimous decision to acknowledge discrimination against heterosexual (straight) people, and strike down the “background circumstances rule,” ensures equal legal standards for all workplace discrimination claims under Title VII, regardless of race, sex, or sexual orientation.

This landmark ruling, which eliminates heightened evidentiary burdens for “majority group” plaintiffs, reinforces fairness and individual protections, aligning with efforts to dismantle divisive DEI practices that prioritize quotas over merit.

Fake News CNN Botches Another Story, Loses More Viewers

CNN’s credibility took another hit as it reported unverified claims from Hamas about dozens of Palestinian deaths near a U.S.-run aid site in Gaza, despite denials from Israel and the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF). The outlet’s selective use of IDF statements and failure to note Hamas’s history of false claims further eroded trust in its reporting.

On Tuesday, Dr. Johnnie Moore of GHF and Israeli officials rebuked CNN for spreading disinformation, clarifying that no incident occurred at the aid site and that Hamas was actively discouraging civilians from accessing secure aid corridors. This marks the third consecutive day of CNN’s questionable reporting, amplifying false narratives without acknowledging corrections or the IDF’s transparency.
