It’s been another wild week in America. Here are just a few (but certainly not all) the things that went down this week.

President Trump reminisces about Joe Biden getting handled by the Easter Bunny before heading to the Vatican for Pope Francis’ funeral.

Democrats quadruple down on their “Maryland Man” hero, who is, in fact, a citizen of El Salvador, allegedly beat his wife, trafficked humans, and is a member of the MS-13 gang.

President Trump Roasts Sleepy Joe At the Easter Egg Roll

At the White House Easter Egg Roll on Monday, President Donald Trump roasted former President Joe Biden by recalling a 2022 moment when the Easter Bunny — later revealed to be a Biden aide — intervened during Biden’s unraveling conversation with reporters, steering him away mid-sentence.

As reported by Breitbart News, in what might be the Trumpiest observation about President Trump:

“Do you remember the bunny with Joe Biden? Remember? Do you remember when the bunny took Joe Biden out?” Trump asked as he was flanked by his wife, first lady Melania Trump, and the Easter Bunny.

At the event, Trump also highlighted differences in values between himself and Biden, particularly around the meaning of Easter.

Last year, Biden drew criticism for tying Easter with the Transgender Day of Visibility. This year, President Trump focused his message on honoring Jesus Christ and restoring religion in American life. “We’re bringing religion back to America,” he declared, before expressing optimism for a broader cultural revival in America.

Trump Attends Pope Francis’ Funeral at the Vatican On Saturday

President Trump and First Lady Melania joined mourners outside St. Peter’s Basilica on Saturday morning for the funeral of Pope Francis, who passed away earlier in the week at the age of 88.

After flying overnight from Washington, Trump paid respects at the Pope’s sealed casket alongside world leaders and church officials, as around 200,000 people gathered at the Vatican.

Earlier in the week, Trump had ordered U.S. flags at government and military sites to be flown at half-staff in memory of Pope Francis.

Following the Pope’s death from pneumonia, Trump issued a proclamation honoring him and posted a tribute on Truth Social, saying, “Rest in Peace Pope Francis! May God Bless him and all who loved him!” The Pope had recently been hospitalized and briefly met with U.S. Vice President JD Vance before his passing.

Democrats Continue Obsession with “Maryland Man”, aka Accused MS-13 Member, Literal El Salvador Citizen

Four more Democrats — Reps. Yassamin Ansari (D-AZ), Maxine Dexter (D-OR), Maxwell Frost (D-FL), and Robert Garcia (D-CA) — traveled to El Salvador to advocate for the return of Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the accused MS-13 gang member, alleged wife-beater and human trafficker, and literal, factual citizen of El Salvador.

The lawmakers noted that the trip was not taxpayer-funded after Rep. James Comer (R-TN) blocked an official congressional delegation. This follows Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s controversial visit, which was criticized after he admitted the trip was taxpayer-funded.

After her arrival, Ansari virtue signalled that she “wants to make sure that Kilmar is still alive,” despite his margarita-laden meeting outside of detention with Van Hollen just days earlier.

Democrats’ support for Garcia has some consultants nervous about the risk of alienating voters.

Meanwhile, El Salvador President Nayib Bukele had some fun with the fiasco, taking to social media to roast Frost over a “gang” post, in which Frost wrote, “fuckin wit my gang gon get u spilled.”

Tom Homan, the border czar under the Trump administration, criticized the Democrats’ “due process” narrative, stating simply that Garcia received “more due process than Laken Riley got.”

Activist Judge Drama Unfolds with More Virtue Signalling and Obstruction from the Left

A leftist judge in Sawyer County, Wisconsin, is threatening to boycott her courtroom after fellow Judge Hannah Dugan was arrested for allegedly helping a violent illegal alien evade ICE agents.

In a strongly worded email, Judge Monica Isham declared she would refuse to hold court without clearer guidance and vowed not to cooperate with ICE, comparing deportations to being sent to “concentration camps.”

The controversy erupted after Dugan, a former Democrat activist, was accused of shielding Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, a previously deported illegal migrant with a record of violent crimes, leading to calls for Isham’s resignation and renewed criticism of activist judges undermining immigration enforcement.

Leftists Continue Misinformation and Miscarriage of Justice on Illegal Migration

Secretary of State Marco Rubio blasted a misleading Washington Post story that falsely implied the Trump administration deported three U.S. citizen children. He clarified that only the children’s mothers, who were in the country illegally, were deported, and that the children simply accompanied them. The children, as U.S. citizens, are free to return.

Meanwhile, California is set to release Ortega-Anguiano, a twice-deported illegal alien convicted of killing two American teenagers in a 2021 drunk driving crash. He served less than half of his ten-year sentence.

Despite his violent criminal history, officials plan his early release in July 2025, leaving the victims’ families outraged. U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi called the decision “absolutely unconscionable” and vowed to work with ICE to ensure Ortega-Anguiano faces full accountability.

On the Trade Front

Swiss pharma giant Roche announced it will invest over $50 billion in the U.S. over the next five years, expanding its manufacturing, research, and workforce across multiple states in response to President Trump’s proposed tariffs on imported drugs. This investment includes new facilities for gene therapy, weight-loss medicines, and glucose monitoring, along with expanded R&D centers focused on AI and cardiovascular research.

India’s Finance Ministry announced a 12 percent tariff on certain steel products to protect domestic producers from a surge of Chinese imports, following U.S. tariff hikes on China. The safeguard duty, lasting 200 days, aligns with Prime Minister Modi’s push to strengthen India’s manufacturing sector. This was unveiled during U.S. Vice President JD Vance’s visit, where both nations agreed to begin trade negotiations.

World Bank President Ajay Banga urged developing countries to strike trade deals with the U.S. quickly, stressing that delaying such agreements would harm everyone. He recommended focusing on reducing trade barriers and boosting regional trade once deals are made.

China warned it would take countermeasures against any country that strikes trade deals with the U.S. at Beijing’s expense, promising reciprocal action if its interests are harmed.

Meanwhile, President Trump revealed in a Time interview that Chinese dictator Xi Jinping had already called him to discuss trade negotiations, suggesting China is willing to make a deal. Trump asserted that the U.S. holds the advantage, criticizing the unsustainable trade deficit with China.

Apple has also begun shifting its production to India, decoupling itself from China. This move is seen as another win for Trump’s trade strategy.

Jimmy Kimmel Cheers Kristi Noem’s Robbery

Leftist talkshow host Jimmy Kimmel celebrated after Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem got robbed. The incident occurred on Easter Sunday, when a thief snatched Noem’s purse while she was out dining with her family in Washington, DC.

“What could be more embarrassing…” Kimmel raved jubilantly, before taunting, “And the funniest part is none of this would have ever happened if she hadn’t shot her guard dog!”

Cornell Cancels “Vile Jew-Hater” Kehlani’s Scheduled Performance

Cornell University reversed its decision to feature anti-Israel performer Kehlani at its Slope Day after facing intense backlash. Initially invited for her popularity, Kehlani faced criticism for past anti-Israel statements and a music video supporting the Palestinian Intifada.

Despite the university’s defense of her selection, President Michael Kotlikoff acknowledged that the choice had caused division and discord, prompting the cancellation of her performance.

Nikki Glaser is Thirsty for President Trump

Comedian Nikki Glaser sparked laughter and discomfort at the 2025 TIME100 Summit when she jokingly confessed to being “super horny” for President Donald Trump, despite disagreeing with his policies.

Reflecting on her experience performing in Canada where she could freely joke about Trump, Glaser humorously claimed her sexual attraction to him would “save her” if she ever faced consequences for making jokes about conservatives. “But he’s so hot, that, I stand by that. I may disagree with his policy, but I’m so sexually attracted to him,”

Former CDC Director Credits Trump’s Efforts to Investigate True Origins of COVID-19

Dr. Robert Redfield, former CDC director, expressed his satisfaction with the White House’s recent stance on the origins of COVID-19, specifically identifying the Wuhan lab leak as the official cause.

Redfield praised the Trump administration for making a clear and unambiguous statement, predicting that intelligence agencies will soon reach a unanimous conclusion supporting the lab leak theory.

He also pointed to gain-of-function research funded by the U.S. government as a key factor in the virus’s creation, calling for a global moratorium on such research and urging leaders, including President Trump, to take action.

Redfield also criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci and former NIH director Dr. Francis Collins for suppressing the lab leak theory to protect gain-of-function research and promote a “preferred narrative.”

He advocated for a congressional investigation into why the true origins of the virus were concealed from the public. Redfield emphasized that intentionally making pathogens more dangerous is irresponsible and should not be the focus of scientific research.
