America saw tragedy this week, as two National Guardsmen were shot by a crazed Afghan illegal alien before Thanksgiving Day. One of the Guardsmen has lost her life, while the other is fighting for his.
We pray for the heroes and their families, and we condemn this disgusting terrorist attack.

On November 26, 2025, two young West Virginia National Guardsmen—20-year-old Sarah Beckstrom and 24-year-old Andrew Wolfe—were ambushed and shot multiple times near the White House in Washington, D.C., in a horrific targeted attack.
The assailant, Afghan national Rahmanullah Lakanwal, opened fire on the uniformed servicemembers, who had been sworn in just a day earlier to bolster capital security. Both underwent emergency surgery. Sadly, Beckstrom did not make it, while Wolfe remains in critical condition, his life hanging in the balance.
Fellow Guardsmen bravely neutralized the shooter, who now faces grave charges amid national grief for the fallen heroes.
