Trump cleans up DC, meets with Putin, while Democrats continue grandstanding, gaslighting, and alienating everyday people.

It was a productive week for President Donald Trump and the Republicans. For the Democrats, it was business as usual, which was virtue signalling, gaslighting, fake outrage, and fake “hero” moment stunts.

President Trump started the week making Washington, DC, safe again, while ending the week with his historic meeting with Vladimir Putin in Alaska.

Everyday Americans (and Secretly, the Democrats) Support Trump Making DC Safe Again

Making good on another promise, President Trump’s federal takeover of Washington, D.C.’s police and deployment of the National Guard are common-sense moves to address rampant crime. It’s a long-overdue step in a city where residents constantly feel unsafe.

Despite leftist media criticism, many media figures privately admit the city’s safety issues. Even Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) acknowledged on MSNBC’s The Briefing that law and order are lacking in D.C., noting a woman’s report of feeling safer recently due to reduced open-air drug use and harassment.

Everyday citizens, including lifelong Democrats, support Trump’s actions, feeling he understands their fears better than out-of-touch, corrupt Democrat politicians. Victims’ families, like Tamara Jachym, whose son was fatally shot, praise Trump for taking crime seriously, unlike the leftist D.C. Council.

Adam Schiff Leaked Classified Info to Attack Trump

A Democratic whistleblower, a veteran staffer on the House Intelligence Committee, reported to the FBI that Adam Schiff approved leaking classified information to discredit President Donald Trump, according to newly released documents obtained by Just The News.

The staffer, who called the act “treasonous” and “illegal,” claimed to have attended a meeting where Schiff greenlit the leak to target Trump.

The documents were recently declassified and handed to Congress by FBI Director Kash Patel. They reveal the whistleblower’s 2017 and 2023 FBI interviews. This report, discussed by co-author John Solomon on Fox News, suggests more leak investigations may follow.

Trump Met With Putin on Friday, Meeting Zelensky on Monday

President Donald Trump’s recent summit with Vladimir Putin in Anchorage, Alaska, saw Trump advocating for a final peace deal in the Russia-Ukraine conflict. While details remain vague, President Trump reached out to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky after meeting with Putin.

Their conversation led to Zelensky scheduling a visit to the White House on Monday. Ahead of Zelensky’s upcoming White House visit with European leaders, including NATO’s Mark Rutte and the EU’s Ursula von der Leyen, discussions will focus on long-term military aid and transatlantic support for Ukraine.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlighted Trump’s unique role in brokering progress, debunking claims that Trump supports forcing Ukraine to cede territory to Russia.

Californians Don’t Support Newsom’s Gerrymandering Talk

California Gov. Gavin Newsom is proposing a special election to adopt a partisan congressional map, which would likely reduce Republican seats, favoring a Democrat-led legislature over the state’s independent redistricting commission.

A Politico–Citrin Center poll shows a majority of voters opposing the idea, with 64% preferring the current independent system and only 36% supporting Newsom’s stunt. The proposal would allow the legislature to draw maps for the 2026, 2028, and 2030 elections before reverting to the independent panel.

While Newsom may think he is “clever” and looking “heroic,” observers see this as just his latest attempt to grandstand and position himself as an opposition leader against the Republicans.

Democrats Have Gerrymandered Far Longer and Much More Maliciously Than What Texas is Doing

Democrats’ outcry over Texas’s proposed redistricting exposes their hypocrisy, as states like California, New York, and Illinois have long used aggressive gerrymandering to suppress Republican representation.

Despite Trump winning significant vote shares—up to 46% in states like New Jersey and New Mexico—Democrats hold disproportionate congressional seats. Some states even send zero Republicans to Congress.

For example, California’s 38% Trump vote yields only 17% Republican seats, while Texas’s 56% Trump vote still gives Democrats 34% of its congressional representation. This stark imbalance reveals Democrats’ redistricting tactics—not Texas’s—as the greater distortion of voters’ will.

Nothing reveals a Democrats’ true character like holding them to their own standards.

Irony: Democrat Senator Calls Trump’s DC Cleanup a “Stunt”

In another instance of ironic leftist failures, Sen. Chris Murphy claimed on Meet the Press that President Trump’s D.C. crime crackdown is a mere “stunt.” Given their history of grandstanding while ignoring inconvenient truths, Murphy’s spin on the issue reeks of Democratic hypocrisy.

Murphy’s assertion that crime is plummeting in D.C. distorts reality. Former Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund notes a surge in homicides—274 in 2023, double the rates of the early 2010s. Democrats, long guilty of manipulative tactics to appear “heroic,” conveniently downplay how crime has spread citywide, no longer confined to specific neighborhoods.

Funny enough, Murphy’s dismissal of Trump’s federal intervention as a distraction is a projection of the Democrats’ own playbook of performative outrage.

More On How DC Crime Stats Have Been Distorted for a Long Time

President Trump also criticized the left for spreading false narratives about D.C. crime, inviting skeptical media to ride along with the D.C. Metropolitan Police to witness the city’s lawlessness firsthand. He accused the police department of fudging crime stats, claiming violent crime is at a 20-year high, not a 30-year low as reported.

The Washington Free Beacon revealed that D.C. police downgrade serious crimes like assault to non-violent categories, avoiding felony classifications. A top commander, Michael Pulliam, faces investigation for allegedly falsifying crime data, echoing similar whistleblower claims from 2019. Trump’s push for transparency exposes these manipulations, undermining Democrats’ attempts to downplay the city’s rising crime.

When a leftist tells us that crime is “dropping,” they are not using real information—living “their truths” while the stats people also live “their truths.” In reality, innocent people are being murdered, assaulted, and traumatized for life, then silenced by leftists living “their truths” and telling themselves they are special.
